This was my first ever live painting experience. I had so much fun creating in such a free flowing way and connecting with everyone who came to interact while I was painting.
I love the concept of creating visual art with the influence of audio art. The relationship between these two is fascinating to me, as is the influence of an environment. Everything can affect creativity; smells, sounds, textures, and sights all make a difference in the sensory intake being processed through the art.
Music has the power to make us feel emotions and make movements to express how we are feeling in that moment. Or maybe the poetry makes you think about life in a different way than you were able to connect to previously. That is what I endeavor to capture on the canvases. The marks were made in response to the music and where it guided my application of color. Letting my body be the vessel for the music to have a voice visually reflected in the way my brain processed all the senses in the experience all at once.
