I am interested in the veracity of memory and its role in defining ones lived experience. In this work, I employ layering as an act of rediscovering those memories almost forgotten to me and relation of different points in time to one another. The transparency of vellum paper exemplifies the idea of memory as a malleable, fragile and fading construct of the mind. The more layers that are added, the more the base layer becomes unclear to the eye, yet can still be seen when viewed in a different light.
