These two cityscapes are very comforting to me. My mother lives near Minneapolis and my father moved to Seattle when I was 10. I have traveled back and forth between these two cities frequently so both cities feel like home. These are both digital drawings created with pointillism and a very loose sketchy feel to represent the looseness of my identity in both of these places. In addition, the most iconic buildings of each skyline are fully present, but there are hints of negative space suggesting some are missing. This is a representation that my identity is not fully formed by either of these places, and also that there are always new things to discover in any place you are, no matter how familiar it may be to you.
