There is something special about the dichotomy of black and white in combination with one another. They are bold and stark in contrast. The definition of positive and negative space within an abstract or geometric pattern start to blur as more layers are added.
This series of Digital Drawings was created as an exploration of the interplay between all the hues visible at once and the absence of color. I became overtaken by drawing in only black and white, looking specifically at the positive space vs negative space in each piece and how it would change the feel of a piece by changing one color. In only using two colors, there are still many aspects to consider when choosing which color to use and where to use it.
